Vlad, the Transcendent — the official character announcement

The XP Hero team unveiled Vlad on Discord on October 15: a centuries-old count who guards the nights of Cron Kingdom, wielding a dagger and a glass of wine that turns the battlefield blood-red. When we wrote this post he existed nowhere in the game's data except the announcement itself — the first hero labeled Transcendent, a rarity name we had never once seen in 152 tables. Now Version 27.0.0 has shipped and the numbers are in — including the one the label doesn't want you to count: his actual rarity row, below.

Update, October 24 — the numbers are in

Version 27.0.0 hit APK mirrors this morning and we extracted it before breakfast. Vlad shipped the same day as his announcement cycle promised — and the byte-level sweep from below flipped from "clean sheet" to "signed, sealed, and costed." Here's what the data says now, game build v27.0.0:

Exotichis actual rarity row — rarity 8, not a new rank
130max level, same ceiling as every other Exotic
×21.5tier-3 skill DPS multiplier (×10.0 / ×16.0 / ×21.5)
26/25/24sskill cooldowns by tier

The label vs. the row — [Transcendent] is still printing

The official Version 27 notice shipped the exact same label as the announcement: Vlad [Transcendent]. But in the data tables, he is roster id 26 with rarity = 8 — the same rank-8 Exotic row that Frost, Skull and Hana already occupy (DPS add 14,734.0, max level 130). Transcendent is still not a rarity on the ladder — BalancingData_Rarity shipped byte-identical to 26.2.0, all 9 rows, still ending at rank 9. So the announcement's mystery word has a mundane answer: it's a title, printed over an Exotic kit — not a new rung the endgame guide has to re-cost. The post below was right for the strictest possible reading: the name genuinely was nowhere in the shipped data. It still isn't. Only the title has it.

What modern Vlad runs on: the blood-pool skill lives in SkillData as three timed tiers, with his heal scaling in SkillSubData (rows 1000501–1000506) and a 0.4× heal-per-tick on the 6★band. His three runes entered the ladder as rows 47–49 under the Rune_Hero_Exotic prefab — rows 44–46 are Misty's Mythic trio, so the Hero Rune set grows 43 → 49 in one build. The gacha signed him on as a second item-26 slot too: half of a new featured-hero box (his and Misty's shared rate group weights 10 apiece, the pair before them demoted to weight 1, 30-pull pity) — pullable, not event-gated.

The announcement, verbatim

Miles — official Discord, October 15

🍷 New Character: Vlad
Transcendent | Proficiency: Dagger

A legendary count who has guarded the nights of the Cron Kingdom for centuries.
He never appears in sunlight, and is said to have never suffered a single defeat.
When he raises his glass, the battlefield turns blood-red.
Join the count in a toast.

[Exclusive Skill]
Wine spills from his glass, creating a blood-red zone.
For a set duration, it deals area damage to enemies within and restores his health in proportion to the damage dealt.
At 6 stars and above, allies within the blood-red zone also receive healing.

[Runes]
• Rose of Wallachia: Blood thorns rise at regular intervals during the skill, damaging enemies within range.
• Walpurgis Night: Extends the blood-red zone's duration and increases the skill damage of allies healed within it.
• Come, Sweet Death: Expands the blood-red zone, causes it to follow Vlad, and increases the skill's bonus damage.

First: "Transcendent" is a genuinely new word

(Written against the 26.2.0 build, October 21 — everything below was true then; the update block at the top is where it landed.) Every rarity on the site — heroes, weapons, runes — resolves through the game's own ladder, which ends at rank 9, Eternal (grade 2, max level 130). "Transcendent" is not on that ladder. It's not the community's nickname for something existing: it ships as the official label in the announcement itself, in the same line as his weapon proficiency. That makes Vlad the first time the game has ever introduced a rarity name absent from its shipped data — new mechanics happen at every version bump; the naming of a new rarity does not.

Transcendentfirst sighting — absent from the 9-rank ladder
Daggerproficiency, like Katarina's kit
6★+when allies start healing in the zone
3 runessigned to his kit at launch

What the top of today's ladder looks like, from CostumeData-derived rarity rows — rank 9 is the ceiling the whole endgame guide is built on:

RankNameMax level+DPS addDPS mult
7Mythic1104,893.01,969.0
8Exotic13014,734.05,905.0
9Eternal13046,882.017,715.0
Where would Transcendent sit? The data has no row above rank 9, so any placement is speculation and we won't pretend otherwise. What we can say: if it becomes a real rank, the ladder grows to 10 rows in a future build — and when we can diff the tables, the exact numbers will be in the data, not in a hype tweet.

The kit, translated

Dagger proficiency puts Vlad in the fast-damage weapon family the kit guide already ranks — his spins will slot straight into the DPS calculator once his tier data lands.

In the current build? A byte-level sweep

We've searched the entire extraction — every locale string, every hero table, every rune table — for Vlad's markers. It is a clean sheet:

Translation, as of that build: Vlad, his art, his runes, his rarity — all of it shipping with a future build, byte-for-byte new. Exactly like the Hero Runes were, back in the 26.0.0 sneak peek — a system unveiled by announcement weeks before a single byte of it existed in the game. [Standing report through build 26.2.0 — the update block at the top covers everything that changed when the future build landed.]

The ship vehicle: Version 27

The timing lined up with the update the game was warming up for: Lucky Spin 1 was paused precisely to wait for Version 27 — the update that indeed carried Vlad, his tier data, Misty and their six runes into the client on October 24. That diff is decoded in full in the Version 27 post.

What we were watching for — resolved

Update complete — this post stays up as a timeline: how this hero went from an unreprintable 15-line Discord message to a fully costed roster row in nine days.
